Valentino Rossi is a famous Italian who has made his living from, and is famous for, motorcycle racing. He has been called one of the best racers in the world, winning the Grand Prix World Championship seven different times. As a child Valentino Rossi began the journey toward his spectacular career by racing go-karts, starting at the age of 5. By the time he was eleven years old, he had switched to mini moto racing. In a year's time, he had won nearly 20 races, and continued winning at a steady pace for the next two years. He got his first motorcycle in 1993, and using his innate talents, worked his way to winning an Italian racing title. Valentino Rossi would falter for a bit, learning the ins and outs of racing a new kind of bike, but once he had a new motorcycle mastered, winning came very naturally to him.

Valentino Rossi has raced on several different makes of motorcycles, most notably the specially outfitted, super fast Honda on which he has won many races, pole positions, and World Championships. Valentino Rossi moved to the Yamaha when his contract with Honda ran out. "The Doctor", Rossi's nickname, still does his well known #46 proud with his Yamaha.
