Honda is a Japanese manufacturer of motorcycles, scooters and ATVs. Honda is the largest engine maker in the world. Honda started making its first motorcycles in 1948, by 1970s, Honda was the largest producer of motorcycles in the world, and still is. In 1954 Honda formed the Honda Racing Corporation and since then Honda has become the dominant marque in motorcycle Grand Prix racing. The Honda GoldWing motorcycle, first produced in 1975, became one of the most popular motorcycles in history. The Honda CBR1000RR “Fireblade” and the Honda CBR600 was developed by the same team that built the Honda RCV211 race bike for the MotoGP. Honda’s other popular motorcycles are the Honda RC51, Honda Rune, Honda Shadow and Honda Rebel. Honda also manufactures many dual-purpose, enduro and motorcross motorcycles such as the Honda CRF, Honda CR and Honda XR. Many of the worlds law enforcement agencies, use the Honda ST1300P.
