Used this year in AMA Daytona Sportbike races all over the USA! While they last! Medium front compound and soft/medium/soft rear (rear is a three compound tire).

These DOT race tires work great on the track and the street.

Why spend over $300 on any other DOT tires, when you can get the tires that win the most races for only $299?

Product Questions & Answers

Q: every body that is askin these question dont know ne thing about dunlops i race at loudon motor speedway in nh im a expert racer and i run the ntecs they r made in great brittin i am fully sponsered by dunlop the ntecs r the best race tire money can buy i run 1.12s on dunlops if i put ne other brand of tire on i can only run 1.16s and im slidin the rear end every corner they r made for racin if ur not going to race ur bike or do track days dont buy the ntecs they do not last but 300 miles on the street they only r good for racin i only get 1 race out of a rear tire the track is 1.6 miles and its a 20 lap race if u race i would only run the ntecs if u only ride the street get the michelin roads they will last u 3000 to 5000 miles and u will save tons of money the gp-a tire is good for a novice rider with no balls and cant ride as hard as the tire can hold they r no good on the street i have tryed all tires street and track i have been racin for 20 years and street ridin for 26 years this is my experince with these tires ntecs r the best for racin not for the street unless ur rich and can buy tires every week at 500 bucks a set it is not cheep gp-a last a little longer on the street but not much longer these tires r for racin only they r dot just for ama and scca and lrrs rules only they should not even sell them to the normal rider only racers thats all their good for and they do that well like i said they r the best money can buy for the track i would never buy them for the street and i swear on the ntecs i love them if u look at all the fast racers they all run ntecs for club racin the track record was set on the ntecs when they came out they smashed the old track record at 1.11.5 now on ntecs the record is 1.09 i hope this helps ne one who is lookin to buy these tires only buy them for the track not the street like i said unless ur rich u will like how the handel in the twists but not the life of them but if u race they r a must have it will drop ur lap times and make for the best ride of ur life A: Well said and all in one sentence :) The NTECs are the best money can buy but they don't last long. If you want to get something close but not as expensive, try the american version - the "211 GP-A". These are great for track days and there is no such thing as too much grip - is there?
Q: You might want to check your suggested pressure ratings for the 209gp you have listed 21 cold in the rear for the 209GP, I thought that was the NTECH pressure rating not the 209gp rating, the NTECH's run a stiffer carcus than the gp209 hence the lower pressure rating. Just thought I'd point that out, sure it's just a typo. I'd be running about 30 in the rear on the road and about 26 in the rear on track approx. A: Tire pressures suggested by Dunlop - http://www.dunlopracing.com/Pressures.pdf. All the suggested tire pressures are for race / track day use only. For street riding, please consult your local dealer.
Q: iam looking to get these tires for rack days in PUERTO RICO where track and weather is hot. should i use the same compound(medium font) (soft/medium/soft rear) or go with (medium front) and (medium hard) rear? A: Softer tires will give you better grip and harder tires will give you more tread life. On the track the tires will heat up well past 160 degrees F, so although the outside temperature does play a role, its not a big factor. Your choice should be based on how the tires feel to you and life vs traction.
Q: do they last long if you run them on the street A: These tires do not last as long as "street" tires on the street, because they are a softer compound. Depending on your riding style the life of these will vary. These tires were not designed to last long, they were designed to give you good traction.
Q: Are these the latest 3rd generation GP-A? What is the date code on the latest model that is patterned after the D211? Thank you, A: These are the same tires used by AMA Daytona Sportbike in 2009 (AMA spec).
